Format Painter in Excel
One of the most useful time-saving tools, yet most overlooked, is the format painter in Excel. It copies all the format of a cell and pastes it into the cell you want. Follow the steps below to know how it works.
In cell B3, we have two different formats- (a) the cell is yellow highlighted (b) custom number format with the word “Percentile” at the end.
You can easily take all the format styles to cell B7.
1. Select cell B3.
2. Click “Format Painter” on the Home tab.
Notice that the mouse pointer now turns to a plus sign along with a paintbrush.
3. Click cell B7.
